Upstream

WALCO OIL & GAS is a wholly Kenyan-owned independent energy company focused on the exploration, appraisal, development, and production of oil and gas resources. The company is currently undertaking appraisal activities within the Lamu Basin which has proven oil and gas deposits.

As part of our upstream activities, WALCO OIL & GAS has successfully acquired 2D seismic survey report, followed by the evaluation and interpretation of the acquired subsurface data. This data has enhanced our understanding of the geological and hydrocarbon potential of the area and are supporting our ongoing appraisal and development planning.

Building on the work completed to date, we are focused on progressing the project toward commercial production, subject to the successful completion of the necessary technical, regulatory, and development activities.

Beyond our current portfolio, WALCO OIL & GAS is actively exploring large-scale investment opportunities across Africa in the oil and gas sector. Our interests extend across the upstream value chain, including exploration, appraisal, field development, production, and strategic partnerships in promising hydrocarbon assets.

We are also evaluating opportunities in midstream and downstream-related projects, including energy infrastructure, processing, logistics, storage, and selected oil and gas manufacturing and value-addition projects. Through strategic partnerships, technical expertise, and responsible investment, WALCO OIL & GAS aims to contribute to Africa's growing energy sector while creating sustainable economic value.
